“…. but it was only your first wife! First wives are like chicken pox, you gotta get through them while you are young ….”
The BH generally uses this phrase for American Airlines …. “aargghhh … in AA flights, they pack people in like sardines”. I cant stop laughing at it because I imagine something like this
and then it invariably reminds me of this ….
Cannot remember how much I used to travel by Mumbai locals … even now when I go back home, I prefer the trains to buses and cars. I am not scared because I am equipped with a loud voice, strong arms and an excellent command over the Marathi language.
MSN was running this article this morning about celebrity moms who are simple mom’s, not too much publicity about their kids or their personal lives or scandals and other such stuff ….
Julia Roberts, Meryll Streep, Reese Witherspoon were some of those on the list. I admire many of these women for their work and their style. Among the pictures I liked Jennifer Garner’s the best. She looks so beautiful and happy in this picture ….
My admin just dropped by with a small pouch of valentine candies – assorted jellybeans and other cute stuff. Its just a ritual they follow …
Anyways, I have this habit of listening to music at work and I always have a headphone in one of my ears. I pulled out a few jellybeans from the pouch and laid them on a tissue on my disk. Before getting back to work, I picked up my headphone and shoved it into my ear. It wouldn’t fit. I was reading something, so i went on and on, turning it up and down, pressing it, trying it on the other ear and so on …. suddenly my finger got all sticky. I am like, cmon I just cleaned my ears this morning, there cant be wax oozing out, so finally I lifted my eye from the document and looked at my fingers. Apparently I was trying to shove a jellybean into my ear.
I had to practically cover my face while I discreetly walked to the restroom to clean my ear and my fingers …. π π π
I just realized that I obsess over cleaning and throwing out trash so much so that I keep emptying the Recycle Bin on my machine about 5-6 times a day too! – almost every time I delete a file π
I was browsing through the movies section of youtube, when I stumbled upon Maine Pyaar Kiya. Goodness gracious the popularity this movie had gained when it was released … my my.
So I decided to watch it again – but of course in full fast forward mode (isnt that why God created the seek button?) It was just hilarious … the clothes, the backdrops, the dialogues I just couldnt stop laughing at what we appreciated so much at that time. I mean its not that I am criticizing. If I sit and watch Sholay or Mughal-e-Azam, I dont laugh, I am quite entertained, even though these are way older. But for some reason, MPK is just justΒ … ok whatever.
One thing I noticed this time, which I hadn’t the many many years ago I watched it is this – The movie is a love story alright – but I kind of misread who it was between. This time around I figured it out. Did you think it was between Prem & Suman?? Ohh no .. you got tricked into thinking that too?? Tch tch tch … Its not that at all. Its a Kishan-Karan love story man! The way they say “Ek baar gale nahi lagayega “dost”? and they way they cant keep their hands of each other π Now we all know what “dost” really means, dont we??? heeheee …. just kidding!!
I heard about this on the radio while driving to work.
A guy while speaking on the phone while driving, got strangled in his wired hands-free and lost control of his car and went and drove into a creek and was about to drown. He had a gun (work-related), so he shot and crashed his windows and swam out of the car to safety.
My my my … this is what I call an adventure!
Saturday – Treat-e-Mithun
Hot-Spicy-Sniffling-Nose-Running-Eyes-Watering-“Server-please-bring-us-a-second-round-of-napkins” food. I think at one point, all possible openings on my face were running but I enjoyed the food … Hell ya!!
Sunday – Treat-e-Taher
Even though we couldnt catch the movie that we planned to go for, we got home loads and loads of sushi to compensate. My my my … I haven’t eaten so much sushi in my life. Ummmlmphhh! Cant breathe …
All in all, a tummy-fulfilling weekend π π
…. with the laptop crashing and passing away in the middle of some really important work I am doing, the PC guy fixing it but me losing all my Firefox bookmarks and now fumbling around for URL’s and websites I have been collecting over a long long time ….
Yeah yeah … its my fault, I didnt back up. I feel like shooting myself right now. Arrghhh!
